I never win anything! And I guess, its the same this time.
I never really like Scout from the beginning... not entirely helpful in challenges, but great help around camp. And last episode... wow. Her hackles came up. She'd cheat, lie and steal to win. But she'll never outplay, outlast and outwit.
Ami's guard was down, followed Leann's suggestion... remember how Ami kept saying "Don't ask me, I'm not the one.." Ami had been potrayed as the leader ever since the tribe got mixed, but she always say that. So who is the leader? From day 1, we thought it was Scout, being the eldest and chief and all.. But in this episode,I believe that it was actually Leann. Or maybe, Ami just has a soft spot for her. Maybe we'll know during the reunion.
Yesterdae's episode featured their family members. Chris was bent on getting immunity, he looked freak out and worried when he got to know that it involves THEIR loved ones. Chris's didn't have enough confident with his fiance... it was clearly shown. But alas, she didn't do too bad. Leann and Terri? They're hilarious. Ami and Crissy got the puzzle pieces first but was having trouble fixing 'em. They did win though, in the end. Crissy's quite athletic too. Guess they're a good pair. Twila and James (?), erm over affectionate I think? For mother and son... kissing on the lips? Err... Julie and her best friend, Eliza and her mum and Scout and Annie... all were ok. Annie looks as bit as eccentric as Scout is. A match made in heaven I guess lol. A bit scary though when Annie went high pitch on that video conference.. :S
I was pissed off, maybe still am. Maybe its just bcos of PMS, it made more damage. But hey, I'll admit, Leann made a big mistake by telling Scout that she's not F4, and Julie by telling Chris (guess she believes in his F2 pact). They were smug... a tad OVER confident. But who wouldn't? Ah but Ami didn't made the same mistake, only smug. Dissappointed in Twila for using her son's name to lie. Leann trusted her too much. Though she was clever to point out to Chris to APPROACH Eliza. I tell you, Chris doesn't deserve to win he didn't manage it on his own. Someone had to pointed out to him, he made all this mistakes by approaching the wrong people and never once realize Eliza is the key.
I guess Leann was being too straighforward. She played with integrity by not lying, and that's what got her. I'm gonna miss her, she added humour (chicken bones? Haha) with her goofy-ness and facial expressions. Her final words were interesting at least, unlike some who are so scorned that they got outplayed. Even in her interview, she laugh it off.
"Julie Chen: You were probably the only team that looked like you were just enjoying this immunity challenge. Not taking it seriously.
Leann: That just cracks me up.
Julie Chen: You're laughing!
Leann: It was funny. You know what, having her out there, was just the coolest thing in the world, you know. And of course I wanted to win but I didn't think, you know it wasn't me. We had a plan, we had a plan and I was sure of it. That was my downfall, I was too sure of it. But because of the plan and because everything was in place, I had fun with it. It was great seeing her. I loved it. We're just a couple of dorks who couldn't do very well at that challenge."
Ami is playing the game by not lying as well... but she too will not make it far, because (highlight to see spoiler) Ami has been pick as the boot next episode. People got so worked up with her plan of getting rid of the men first. The men are furious and says its sexist, the women are not complaining much, but those who does says its not fair. A few reasons why I think its nothing, and anyway ITS JUST A GAME!
1) Being separated in male & female tribe, you will bound to make an alliance consisting of ONLY WOMEN. You really don't have a choice. And in order to hold that alliance, wouldn't you have to vote out the guys??? (On a personal note, I would vote out the guys to stay true to my alliance, wouldn't you? Unless you're Eliza or a flip-flopper).
I'm guessing if the tribe were mix, Ami might have made an alliance with some of the guys (knowing they're strong and could bring her to F2). And she'll vote of girls/guys, now those comments would not be said, and she wouldn't be seen as man-hater.
2) I do not think she's a sexist, well if she is to you, what about the men making sexist remarks about the women on their first tribal council? Referring them as objects and unable to believe that they could kick their ass? Where's the equality here?
3) Scout's repetition of "I like playing with the men, I like men." I think she just do not want to be seen as man-hater, as how Ami is being potrayed now. She wants to be seen as this universal player who appreciates everything.
4) And anyway, the men always are bent on getting rid of Ami, going against a strong player. Though Rory tried, but he was too emotional, blowing up everything, screaming, shouting and cursing. (Excuse me? It doesn't help.) Chris is doing a better job at this.
5) Ample times Ami has said that she is trying to keep an alliance of women THAT NEVER HOLD for any survivor series before and that she voted out the men because THEY WERE A PHYSICAL THREAT.
So many said they were smug. But what about Twila? On the preview, Ami admitted that it was a good move. Twila said " We screwed your game, didn't we?" NOW THAT IS SMUG-NESS to me, ain't she being cocky now? I like Ami's reply of "Nah, I'm still here." Trying to keep her temper cool. But everyone knows she's still there 'cos she's wearing the Immunity Necklace.
Anyway, I bet NO ONE will say that Twila was being cocky by saying that. We are all blinded and choose to see only what WE WANT to see.
I'm rooting for Ami, ever since Episode 2. People say Ami made the show interesting because she came out as the villain. But when she is gone, I'll only be rooting for Eliza, because if we don't see Ami in F2, Eliza is gonna be THE SOLE SURVIVOR.
So my blog is a tribute to the fallen Leann, who's words were " I never win anything! " After she won the reward challenge (with chicken wings).
How ironic it is true. So Ami's words of not being second behind a man, would only mean she's second behind a woman, who outplayed her unexpectedly. It could also mean being in F2 with Chris. Hah. One can always hope aye?
And for some of you, YES I was freaking pissed off, but I got over it, hey even she laughed it off. It's just a game. =)

Got unupdated for a while eh
I WANT TO COMMENT ABOUT LAST EPISODE OF SURVIVOR BUT I GOT LAZY. THEN TODAY IS THE NEW EPISODE WHICH I'M NOT SURE IF IM GOING TO SAY ANYTHING. IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHETHER I HAVE THE MOOD OR NOT. ALL I HAVE TO SAY WITH THIS CAPS IS THAT IF AMI'S GONE THAN IT SUCKS. HAHA. THOUGH BOOT LIST IS CHAD BUT SINCE THEY ARE SO CONFIDENT THAT LEANN IS GOING NEXT WEEK, THAN IM AFRAID AMI MIGHT GO SOON UNLESS SHE WINS IMMUNITY.
Back to normality, I discovered that channel 5 is showing STRONG MEDICINE III on weekdays, 4 pm. Wow, I saw STRONG MEDICINE once 'cos I was awake to watch something else at about 3am. And I immediately fell in love with the story. But I only managed to watch a few episodes 'cos I can't bear to wake up. So now I am hooked the show all over again. I believed I watched the first season during early mornings. So I truly recommend it. Something like ER (though I don't really watch it), but filled with women (and children) problem, some diseases you've never heard of. Each episode teaches me new things. So its an enlighthening experience.
Ooo, The Judge is a TV series which just ended today, on ch i. Good story but I have some questions. Interesting and riveting. Bad cop, good cop - framed judge.
I so want to put pictures up but am so lazy to do so 'cos I gotta edit, save and linked back. *sigh* Getting so lazy these days but never with Age of Mythology. Hah. =)

Rory got burnt!
My my, I am extremely happy. His persistence in voting Ami off only lead him to his own desmise. I've been waiting for this day for so long.
If truly the women's alliance did not hold, I can only hope for the best. Hopefully the powerhouse of the women's alliance did not show their pecking order in next week's challenge (anyone remember S4 - Rotu 4?). Perhaps it may be so, as they were talks about the women who noticed they might be the first to go from their alliance, decided to turn against them. I can see Eliza and Julie doing this. As they are the 'young ones' that were not allied with the 'older ones' earlier on. But they will be foolish to do so. Eliza and Julie will have a hard time staying on and winning immunity if they were to line up with the guys. Eliza have more chances of winning being in the women's alliance. (Unless if it'll be like Jenna/Darrah).
Secondly, it might be Twila and Julie going back to being in the male alliance. They only voted for Rory because as Twila said it to Chris, Rory is a big physical threat. And Twila will be filled with guilt, after being confronted by Sarge regarding her disloyalty. However, from the extra vid, at the voting booth, Twila did mentione that she did not vote for Sarge because he has immunity necklace. However, her choice for these two is because of physical threat. Scout is also willing to vote off one of the girls. She suggested Eliza to Rory as she could not vote for Ami. But maybe its just because she's the 'young ones'.
Ami and Leann is very strong together. Scout is unwilling to vote for Ami. Hence, I cannot see the other girls change alliance, other than those 3 (maybe Scout for Eliza). The promo mentioned 5-3, when there is suppose to be SIX women left. How queer.
Last week's challenge was a let down, especially by Ami. She didn't learnt anything to improve her tossing technique. Rory was clever in using his clothing to squeeze more water. But does it matter? Merge was to come, food will be there no matter what. Then again, no one knows for sure if they WILL merge.
The immunity challenge looks like a very tiring one. From this, we can see the top 4 strong ones. We can foresee Leann and Scout not making it, but Chad? A bit of dissapointment there. Suprise for Sarge, but then again... Eliza too, surprise suprise. Ami and Rory was expected. These people, extreme stamina, can I have some?

Exams are finally over
Not that I am extremely excited or anything. (might be the only one saying this). I don't feel the happiness or extreme joyness that my friends have when we finished our last paper. I feel lost... melancholic. Its like, "Oh that's it, that's the end."
Knowing that the last paper signifies the end of a lot of things, perhaps that is why I am sad. Especially with next semester, it'll be the end of my 3 year learning-experience journey. I don't want it to end. I like to learn, study, knowing stuffs. If I am the richest kid in the world, I would choose to study till I am old. Other than that, you have your friends, who may not exactly BE the ones but yet it is they who was there for you when you felt sleepy during lecture. The arguments, the disagreements, the fights, the activites... all that memories, may soon be forgotten or ignored.
"No matter how hard you try to keep it together, someday it'll be gone"
- a friend of mine. I quite agree with what she said.
